Estimates and binding quotes
A non-binding estimate is our good-faith projection based on the information you give us. A binding written quote is a fixed price we commit to for the scope described in it. If the actual job changes — more items, added stops, extra stairs, or access we weren’t told about — the price may change, and we’ll tell you before doing the extra work. Always rely on the written quote, not a number given casually over the phone.
Deposit and cancellation
A $99 deposit reserves your date and is applied to your final total. If you cancel with reasonable notice we’ll refund or reschedule per the terms on your booking confirmation. Last-minute cancellations may forfeit the deposit, since a reserved date often turns away other work.
Liability and valuation
Released-value protection at $0.60 per pound per article is included at no extra charge, as required by regulation. This is the basic level of liability and may be far less than an item’s replacement cost. You may instead choose full-value protection, which costs more but provides broader coverage. We carry cargo coverage up to $1,000,000 per shipment. Claims must be made in writing within the time limits stated in your moving documents.
- Tell us in advance about high-value, fragile, or unusual items.
- We are not liable for items you pack yourself unless damage results from our handling.
- Perishables, hazardous materials, and certain valuables can’t be transported.
Governing law
