“Excellent. I would definitely use them again.”
Most of our out-of-state jobs start on I-77 or I-76 and head wherever the next chapter is — a new job in the Carolinas, family in Florida, a relocation out to the Midwest. Because we run a single dedicated truck per move, we can give you a real delivery window instead of a vague “sometime in the next two weeks.”
We have been doing this since 2013, and the long-haul work is where careful handling earns its keep. Every drawer is padded, every mattress is bagged, and we keep a written inventory so what loads in Akron is what walks off the truck on the other end.
What a long-distance move starts at
Long-distance jobs are priced as a binding flat rate, not an hourly meter, so weather and traffic are our problem, not your bill.
| What drives the quote | Detail |
|---|---|
| Starting flat rate | From $1,850, binding written quote |
| Truck | Our own dedicated truck — no shared loads |
| Crew | Same CLC Services movers load, drive, and unload |
| Deposit | $99 to lock your date, applied to the total |
The flat rate is set by weight, distance, and access at both ends. We carry up to $1,000,000 in cargo coverage per shipment; $0.60/lb released-value is standard, and full-value protection is available.
What is not part of the base rate
We name the extras during the estimate so the binding number stays binding:
- Full or partial packing, if you would rather we box it (from $340).
- Specialty handling for a piano or safe, from $329.
- Storage on either end when your dates do not line up, from $45/month per vault.
- Long shuttle carries at a destination our truck physically cannot reach.
Why a dedicated truck matters
On a shared line-haul, your sofa can sit on a dock for days while a trailer fills, and a different crew you never met loads and unloads it. With a dedicated CLC Services truck, the chain of custody is one crew from your Akron driveway to your new front door. Fewer hands on your things means fewer dents, fewer lost boxes, and a delivery date we can actually commit to.
